Ok, I abandoned my LJ again. Sorry! T_T

I am awful at keeping blogs. I mean it... mostly because I'm too lazy to write all week, or month, or... +_+'

Well... anyway. XD Just posting some pictures of my newest girl in the family, Corinne. She's a Volks YoSD Little Alice, the mold with which I fell in love as soon as I saw her at Rosanna's house. I posted a WTB thread for her, and I got a message from a seller for one with a custom face-up... I was a little reluctant at the beginning, but... I regret nothing!! Her face-up is so gorgeous that I felt so good for accepting the offer when it came! XD

I also got some Little Moda outfits for her and she just looks... so cute... ;3;~

I also have been changing my dolly plans, lately... decided to give up on Shinsengumi dolls, and so my Hijikata is becoming another character. I can't wait to start customizing him! And as for the other dolls... I'm deciding between changing them, or selling. I can't sell my dear SD13 Okita though, since he was my first Volks doll... T0T

As for other dolls that were not receiving much attention, I decided to re-home them and so, they're up on Den of Angels for adoption. Including my SSDF Scarface Regen... I decided to sell him and get SD17 Alain (priorities, priorities! ><). I hope he finds a good home soon!

I also wondered about... getting my SD10 Tae a Docshul face-up. But I have no idea where she is now, or even if she's taking commissions... I might ask have some of her old clients, though... oo

Oh, well. I'm too lazy to write anything more, so I'll leave it at that for today. XD

 Oh hi!

Long time no see. XD So sorry I've kinda abandoned my LJ, but things have been so crazy! Specially since I came to the US. OO
Yep, living here in the US now... missing the dolls that are in my parent's home, but at least I have some of them with me. T-T (And specially Alexis! I can't live without him anymore, seriously. Oo) I go home every holiday though, to see my babies. :3

The doll family has grown considerably since last time I posted, so I'll not babble too much about it because I might tire some people. ;3;' But I did get some dolls that I've been completely eager to!! Including my Andrea [Volks Hikaru Genji], Gillian [Volks Chris by Gensou Roman], and Ophèlie [Unoa Zero Latea]. X3

Life in the dorm is not as great as home, but the new university is far better than my previous one! o0o~
And thanks to Den of Angels, I also found a great friend from RISD that collects dolls too and her place is 10 minutes on foot from my dorm. Yesterday we went out together with another friend she introduced me, who also has dolls, and I should say her place is amazing. It was really great! :3

... And I fell in love with her YoSD Little Alice. The little one is absolutely AMAZING in person! And here I though I was safe from her... but... I must save to get Damaran's open eyed [the new Reisner from the Cruise] head! T___T' Maybe some day... in the future... there are so many WTB threads for her in the Market Place, that I'll probably leave for later. She's in Y!J too, but... too expensive ones and from people who don't get layaway. õo
But I was really happy to see that YoSD Ayumu is also cuter than in pictures! I got him from the Volks USA website, and he's said to ship in March... I'm so anxious! O.O

This boy ha He has taken my soul. Williams always was my ultimate dream doll, and soon he'll complete a year with me. X3 He just got his body as well, since he spent all his time with me by stealing Toshi's (my Hijikata) body. X'D

During my winter break, I went back home as well and, when my friends Fran and Camila visited, I did Damaran's tattoo by myself. X3 *a little proud* Winter break was great!! *0*



And soon, he's going to Bloody for a new face-up. X3 She's amazing and thankfully accepted to paint him for me! He's now in Fran's house since I couldn't bring anyone other than Alexis (other dolls arrived directly here), so she'll send him for me. X3

I'm still looking for someone to commission Alexis, since he's very specific and I really want him perfect... I thought about Gensou Roman, since she has a more delicate but still incisive style, and knows how to paint white eyelashes. But I'm still not sure... ;0;

I do have some more doll news, but... I'm lazy and I'll leave for another time. :3

Hi there!

Okay, I know I was supposed to post trip pictures and all that stuff, but... I brought with me two cameras. One for dolls, and another one, smaller, to carry around everywhere. AND I was stupid enough to forget the USB cable of the small camera, so... I will only post those pics when I get home and find-that-cable. T_T'

But today I brought the big camera with me for the doll meeting we had in Jyväskylä! The girls from Hartsilapset were kind enough to accept doing a meeting even though we started planning it the day before yesterday, and I have to thank Mizya a lot for helping me post in the meeting area (even though my finnish sucks! XD)! Thank you so much! ;-;

In the meeting were Mizya, Yenna, Turre, Aatos, Mamia, kitichan and Rime. You rule and I love you all!! <3

4. How long have you been in the BJD hobby?
Since the beginning of 2007, I've seen a DoT Sha on a friend's fotolog. My first boy came in July 2007.

5. Do you RP? If so, who is/was your favorite person to RP with?
I must say it's like a different kind of RP. I just gather together with my friends on msn messenger (usually my friends from Rio) and we interpret the characters there as if they're in a chat, or a room or something. My favorites to RP with are Fran and Yuna. :3

6. Who is/was your favorite character to RP with?
My personal favorite is Áedán, he shows up on EVERY chatroom I'm in. =_=' Though I like to put Thanatos in the room, he's so RUDE I can't help but laugh. XD

I'd say two, my School A and my Tan Ryu. I absolutely love the molds and now that I have characters for them, I really feel stupid to think I've sold them just like that. ><"

9. What is your favorite thing in this hobby?
Thinking about their stories, about ow they'd react in certain situation, and hold them and hug them. It makes me feel that they're really there, they're touchable and real. And also, the friendships I made thanks to the hobby. I started talking with my best friends today (yeah, I'm talking to you, Paula and Bru! XD) thanks to them, and then by them I met Akemi, another of my besties. LOL And the people from the Brazilian forum, too. I love them all. And also some from Den of Angels!! /o/

10. Who is the first BJD that ever entered your house/that you ever saw in real life?
Bruna's DoC U, Yue. We found out in the forum that we lived in the same town and met at the shopping mall. She took her boy with her! >w<

11. Who is the first BJD you ever fell in love with?
DoT Lahoo. Then DoT Ducan and Sha. :P
Though today I melt just by seeing Soom Sards, Volks Williams' and Reisners...

12. What is the most you've spent on a doll (the actual doll itself)?
Ahem... Damaran and Calandre (Volks SD17 Scarface Reisner and SD13 SuiginTou). Their aftermarket prices are killers. ><

13. What is your favorite photoshoot/photo you ever took of any of your dolls?
The one I took in Utah, of Albion. Snow + dolls = awesomeness, even though my photography skills suck. <3 

14. What is your funniest memory with any of your dolls?
Draylas in a bunny hat. In Paula's house. With a camera. 
If I appear dead in the morning, you know who did it. 

15. What is your saddest memory with any of your dolls?
When Souji's headcap fell down while he was being held by someone else. I REALLY thought he was broken. Right after he arrived home. ><' I didn't manage to glue back the Volks plate yet, because I'm afraid that if it happens again I might lose it. 

16. Have you ever had a dream about your doll? If so, what was it about?
I really think I had some about my characters, but I don't remember well. Though I dreamed I had received a Soom Topaz and did not know where the heck she came from, but... she was pretty. I woke up and I got sad wishing for a Topaz... but I'm not so crazy for her anymore nowadays. Even though I can't open MP threads with her name on the title. XD
I also dreamed about other dolls arriving... I can't remember who it was. But I always wake up so friggin' sad from those!! XD

17. Which BJD out of yours would you never sell in a million years?
Albion. No doubt about it. And next would be Hyperion. T_T

18. Name one thing that makes you irked in the BJD hobby.
First: People that actually counts how many dolls other people have to compare. I mean, my hobby, my money, my dolls - it doesn't matter how many you have to actually enjoy the hobby. Õo' But there really are some people that likes to compare numbers and that actually begin to dislike people with too many dolls, I DON'T GET THAT. ><
Second: People that fool around with YOUR characters in an uncomfortable manner (read the damn profile, damn it, they'd never do THAT!! And I'm not homophobic, but HE'S-NOT-GAY. Say that about the character tha actually IS gay. Õ_o'), especially those who say that everyone of them are drag queens just because of the long hair or a pair of boots (actually, manly boots). I know people that have long hair and are manlier than you or your boyfriend, so step out of it. 
Third: People that feel superior to others because one has this-or-that-doll; selfish people that only speaks to you because you have this-or-that/that-many dolls.
And there might be many more. :D

19. Would you ever consider "leaving" the hobby?
I wouldn't say leaving the hobby entirely, but I have thought about selling some dolls and just keeping a few of them. It was a time when I was really frustrated about many things, had too much school work and absolutely no time to take care of my dolls... along with a bit of tension that was going on in the brazilian forum. ><
Sometimes I get a bit disappointed with my own photography and customization skills too... especially looking at so many wonderful photos and face-ups from so many people. Though it gives me motivation to try to get better, I guess. XD 
But I never thought about giving up on all my dolls. I love this hobby too much and it has brought me so many wonderful things, and I'd never leave it completely behind. X3

20. Who is the newest character you've thought up?
Rhea, my titaness (is that even a word? I mean, female titan). I'm still working on her design. And there's also the boy with no name... ><

And I will be able to go. 

And HOLY CRAP, I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START THE PREPARATIONS FROM. 

I need to lock my current one, prepare all the documents, check the stuff about the campus room, and manage to finish my current semester successfully to send them the report with the credits. But the thing I want the most right now is to sleep and have good dreams. XD

Especially if they're dolly related. I'm already searching for the doll community in the Rhode Island/New England area. 

And OMG I'll be able to go to New York Dolpa next year!!! TT____TT<3

I'm on happiness overload, pardon me if I'm not making any sense. XD

 Hey ya! :D

Everything's been back to normal and things are going greatly again. Even though I'm really sleepy now, since yesterday I've spent a good amount of sleep time to try and get a Versailles VIP ticket for my friend... and that ended up in epic fail, since the ticket store server went down because of the amount of people trying to get it at the same time. XD
So they'll put the VIPs on sale again once they manage the server. ><"

I've got mine since May 1st as I managed to get the first batch, so... I really hope to take a picture with Teru! <3 I'm already ordering a white head bow from Baby, the Stars Shine Bright since it's all that I need to complete the outfit I plan to wear. After all, I never dress up properly and so we need to use those opportunities, right?

Also, Hale is home! I've taken him with me in the little trip I've made this weekend to Campos do Jordão. I love how that place looks like a Dutch village, is always cold and has a lot of chocolate stores!! <3


Also, I finally got the chance to bring my dream doll home.
Last week I've just put a Volks SD17 Williams on layaway! X3 I can't wait to have my dearest Alexis home... he has a baaaad personality, but I love the character so much! TT^TT9

So, what do you do when someone really important to you asks you to give up your dream for them?

Really, that's just how it sounds. And I've been already down because my days at university had been crappy lately... this just did not need to happen. And now I have a Calculus test tomorrow, and can't concentrate on studying anymore.

The thing is, I want to earn money and live a calm live in Europe in a small suburb city, maybe in England or Finland. I want to travel around the world. I want to keep my doll hobby. I want to see new things, and not just stay locked up in an architecture office in Brazil hoping for something to happen. And for that, I worked hard on studying and filling up applications for some universities in the United States, and I'm just waiting for the results and trying to stand my current university with crazy works of teachers who like to bet on their students hard work (sometimes until late at night) and people who only know how to look at their own arses, and that love to play the "I'm the biggest victim in the world" game. It's not the subject or the quality of the education. It's the people. And the difficulty that it is to rise on the architecture field in order to achieve my dream in this country. I just think that outside Brazil, my chances of making it true are much bigger with the same amount of effort. 

And now, this very important person came crying to me and telling me that she doesn't want me to go to the US. She wants me to stay here.

I really love her (no, not girlfriend nor anything like that, please), and I don't want to see her miserable. But I don't want to spend 3 and a half more years at my current university - it would probably make ME miserable. Especially if, because of that, I am unable to do what I always dreamed of. I will probably end up in an architecture office in the center of the city, facing crazy traffic everyday, having to pay ridiculous governmental taxes to support 12 million parasites that don't contribute to society not even a little bit, being afraid of being robbed and with the importation of products getting harder and harder everyday. Then I will maybe travel somewhere, and become even more miserable seeing all the wonderful places I will not be able to live in. 

I'm not saying that Europe or the US don't have their own problems; but São Paulo is an ugly city and (sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone, just giving my opinion) the president and the people in the government are just ridiculous. Brazil has good things, I know; I just don't seem to be able to appreciate them just as I appreciate the Highlands, the London Tower, the snowy sceneries of Finland or even the old and beautiful Mantova, or even Park City in Utah, for god's sake. 

"Oh, you're just saying that because you're used to São Paulo and not to these places". Believe me, I've already considered that. But I just feel I can't stay in a place where everything is chaotic, people only mind their own businesses and you have to be careful on every corner so you don't get hurt by a little outlaw that wants your money and a piece of you. And there's also the people who like to blame the ones that work honestly for their disgrace, but if I start this topic I will get even more pissed than I am right now. 

*Sigh* I just don't know what to do. I don't have enough motivation for anything right now, and I need to finish that damn Calculus exercise list. 

I really hope that this Wednesday's holiday and my Saturday will cheer me up at least a bit.
If not, I will just endure. I hope.

SD17 Hijikata Toshizou:

I am going to be pretty fangirlish here now, okay? Okay then.

I love his face and his expression, his clothes are absolutely beautiful (oh, how I love this style of clothing!!), and holy crap, it's Hijikata Toshizou. One of my favorite historical characters... <3 ♥





And SDGr Okita Souji:

The Shinsegumi outfit seems to be a bit lighter in the Blue, but still gorgeous. I personally love the gray piece. And I personally love the fact that Okita's ponytail is not as tall as his other version... it was too heavy to stay properly on his head, I was so afraid of handling him and ruin the wig. T_T" That was one of the reasons I gave him a short wig...

I will enter the Volks USA lottery for  SDGr Okita... Then, if I don't win, I might try the after event. I'm really tired of paying after market prices on Volks dolls... I still want SD17 Williams more than anything, but if I can avoid paying double the original price for Okita, I will give a try. XD

Also, I think I will make the new Okita the actual Okita Souji here, since he looks much more like a Bakumatsu samurai... and maybe change the character of the old one. I can't possibly think about letting my old lovely Souji go, so I will give my best in giving him what he deserves.  ♥




Also, this is one of my latest incoming resin family members. He's a So-Nyeon-Gi Milhwa, named Ryou. I instantly fell in love with him when SNG released him... I am a huge fan of their works, and I personally think that they're one of the sweetest doll stores out there. They show so much love for their dolls that is a huge pleasure to take them home...  ♥



He's in the same story as another one of my new acquisitions and one of my dream dolls, Hale (a Volks SD13 Maki Tsuyoshi head, painted by SDink). What I want to do with them is simply write a soft, simple story with common people and their deepest feelings. Most of my dolls are special creatures, so... it will be interesting to write something nearer to our own reality and explore their feelings more deeply. ^^
It'll probably be just Hale, Ryou and then Shizuka (which I plan to be a Volks F-01... yes, I finally caved for this mould after seeing the many faces she can have and just how adorable each one is). If new characters will appear after that, I just don't now yet.

But Volks is evil, I tell ya. Or they have an agreement with Murphy's law... all I can say is that, just as I saved to get one boy this Dolpa, they release two. Here:

My poor Souji is now scared and my wallet is crying. T_T I will have to wait for the after event to get the new Okita, or try the after market where prices will go over the clouds. But oh well, I was planning to try getting a SD17 Williams, so why not SDGr Okita? I know, I'm crazy, but the one writing this is a doll-freak and is completely obsessed with those little ones. XD

Hi~! o/

So, classes are close to begin again (and I'm really NOT in the mood for it), and, on the other countries, holidays are close to a start. And holidays in Japan mean Doll Parties (Dolpas) for doll owners! *cries*

Hometown Dolpa Kyoto 7 has been announced for March 14th, and holy crap, just how much I wanna go. I'd really sell a kidney, if people around me wouldn't stop my craziness. lol
Everything is still fresh, and the only thing new so far is the release of a new boy, who everybody especulates to be Hijikata Toshizou. Well, everyone is pretty sure already - the Shinsengumi flag on the Guide Book, the phrase "The Demon Subcommander is comming" and the identical clothes to the historical pictures don't leave a doubt. 




I'm rather happy, since Hijikata is one of my favorite historical characters and I'm such a Shinsengumi fangirl. I've managed to get a slot with a intermediate for this Dolpa to try the lottery for Hijikata (we're just waiting on more info) and I can't wait for the event results and pictures!!


Changing the subject a little. 
These days I've received some dollhouse miniatures from both MiniaturePatisserie and asukasakumo. Those girl never fail to impress me; their work is very detailed, beautiful and so. Amazingly. Cute. It impresses when you see its pictures, and it amazes you when you see them in person. I mean, those profiteroles have less then half a centimeter, and you can hold the cake with only one finger:



As you must know, those are very small for my 1/3 BJDs. But I was planning to use them with the YoSDs and other smaller dolls, such as my Pullips. And lately I've found some that are quite perfect for those!

So. This week, after a long time, I went after some anime to honor the old times (?). I was really curious to see K-On!, and so I went for it. It's not a deep anime or something that makes you think philosophically about life, but it's rather cute and relaxing. 
So I don't really know why, I went to eBay and started searching for K-On! merchandise... and found that figma was releasing the girl's action figures. I caved for cute Mugi-chan:


Cute, isn't she? I absolutely love those eyebrows of her, and the little keyboard is amazing. And those little ones can hold amazing poses as well. She'll ship only by mid-april, but I'm already anxious to play with her. And she's on the PERFECT scale for those miniature sweets! Since in the series she usually brings sweets for the other characters, I figured it would look rather cute. XD




Right now I've started watching White Album. I thought it would be another soft-musical anime, but... it's very serious, and sometimes even scary. Very interesting, though. It came from a novel, not a manga or anything like that.
